MIT 2020 Class Council Vice President
I've been greatly honored to serve as Vice President of MIT's 2020 class council over the past three years.
Class council's role on campus is to help foster class wellbeing and unity. We run a variety of fun events for the class ranging from study breaks to formal events to apparel.
Some of the events that I've had the most fun organizing include tickets to the Nutcracker performed by the Boston Ballet, our junior formal (themed MIT/Met Gala), and "Blind Hangouts," an event where we subsidized dinner for two randomly paired 2020's to get food with each other.
Some of the more challenging things I've worked on were getting licensing agreements through MIT's Licensing Office, ordering and distributing over 800 individually embroidered track jackets and patagonias, and negotiating contracts with various vendors. But by far the most difficult part was helping with our class during the passing of two of our classmates.
I've really enjoyed my time on class council, and am incredibly grateful to have had the chance to serve my class.
